Welcome to the design corner of my website. This is my main field of work, and over the years I’ve had the chance to explore a range of areas and experiment with a variety of projects. My favorite disciplines are interaction design and working in 3D spaces.

Feel free to browse around and take a look at the variety of projects I’ve worked on.

Adaptive Educational Games in VR - eliminating Motion Sickness

Game Design, Interaction Design, Prototyping in Unity and ChatGPT

Description

When does learning become fun? Can VR embodiment contribute to this? These questions gave rise to the idea for an adaptive racing game during a team brainstorming session. In the game students answer questions by steering a spaceship through gates with possible answers. Teachers can use an external web tool to add their own questions, images, and sounds to tailor the game to individual learning needs. Now even without getting sick!

MINT-ProNeD - Creating a central Platform for Communication

Website, Corporate Design

Description

MINT-ProNeD was a 2.5 year collaborative project to develop adaptive, process-oriented, and digitally supported teaching materials with a focus on linking science and practice. This case study focuses on the project website as a central platform for disseminating information to researchers, teachers, and funding agencies.

Games

Unlooted - Graveler Game Jam (2025)

This game was produced during the Graveler Game Jam weekend in Tübingen. The mighty pirates have robbed the Louvre. Now they are trying to flee. But fear not! YOU have the glorious and prestigious task to go after them, sink their ships, and gather the precious treasure to bring it back to the French Warehouse™.

Play the Game in your browser on itch.io!

Role

I contributed to the game-idea brainstorming, helped iterate on ideas and mechanics, and created 3D assets and animations. I also made sure the mood and communication in the team stayed good throughout the weekend and that everyone stayed well-fed with snacks. Very important, aye!

VR Game for Educational Purposes (2025)

This is a prototype developed at the IWM Tübingen. It is a space racer game in which the user answers questions by flying through the correct gate. The questions are integrated via an external browser tool that generates a JSON file. This file can then be imported into Unity to update the game with the desired questions. The game can be used in various educational contexts, such as language and vocabulary learning.

Role

I contributed to the initial concept during the brainstorming phase and later developed the prototype in Unity, as well as the browser tool, with assistance from ChatGPT.

Dream of Tomorrow (2020 - 2025)

A point and click adventure against bullying.
"Accompany Lena, a young creative student on her adventure – solve tricky puzzles, experience funny situations and confront mean bullies! Hardly a day goes by where Lena is not bullied in some way. Why? Because she is not like the others."

The game is still in development, however you can already check it out on Steam.

Role

I was responsible for art direction, the user interface, mini games design, world design and the design, concept and lineart of the background graphics (not for the coloration).

Tangram Bulls Eye (2022)

This is a version of Tangram in which the players play against each other. They have to arrange the Tangram stones as shown on their cards, as fast as possible.

The game can be bought at Philos.

Role

This was one of a series of Tangram games, in which I was responsible for the graphics design.

Global Game Jam (2020)

This game was developed at the Global Game Jam 2020 in Stuttgart. It is a game about Captain Zlorp who needs to fix his ship with the help of his most caring AI, before the next enemy wave arrives.

The game can be downloaded here.

Role

I was responsible for the protagonist's design and animation, the interface and helped out with some of the assets and project management.

Bachelor's Thesis (2020)

For my bachelor's thesis I planned and partly developed a third person explorative game in Unity. I went through the different steps of game development with the focus on Animation.

Implementation and Learnings
I made all the graphics and assets in Paint Tool Sai, Photoshop, Substance Painter, Mudbox and Maya. For project management I used the online tool hack'n'plan.

During the process I learned how huge and complex game development is. I dealt with a wide range of tasks, including 3D modelling and animation, C# coding, world-building in Unity, and user testing. I also understood that the scrope of the game was way too large for the amount of time and little knowledge I had at that time. In the end it became a playground for me to get into different disciplines of game development. The user testing I did was very helpful to get feedback about the controls and the overall feel of the game.

Motion

3D Animations are done in Lightwave3D and Maya.

Some more Motion Projects I worked on.

The first project was a student project with the focus on catching a choreography. I was partly responsible for the direction, production, camera and video editing.

The second is a personal project in which I was responsible for the choreography, direction, production and video editing. I always wanted to catch one of my own choreographies into a music video production, so I am quite proud of this, hehe.

The main focus of the third project was on storytelling. I worked alone in this project.

Illustrations

For my illustrations I usually work with Clip Studio Paint, but worked with Paint Tool Sai, Cinema4D and Photoshop in the past. Click on each image for more information.

3D Modelling

Throughout my work I tried several tools for different purposes. Nowadays I prefer working with Maya or Cinema4D, though I've got some experience in Blender as well. Click on each image for more information.
